Lip Lift

When it comes to the lips, we often think of youthful lips as appearing full and pouty. With age, the lips can thin and elongate. A thin or long upper lip may occur naturally or with age. The lip lift is a fairly minor surgical procedure which can restore a more youthful appearance to the upper lip.

The lip lift is generally performed to shorten the length of a long upper lip. The surgery may also add a slight pout or cupid's bow to the central lip as well as an overall appearance of greater fullness. The surgery may also enable more of the pink portion of the lip, or vermilion, to show and make the upper teeth more visible when the lips are slightly parted. The overall effect of the lip lift is a more esthetically pleasing mouth with a youthful appearance.
